This original contemporary abstract painting is part of the "In Shadow and In Light" series, where musical rhythm meets cosmic meditation. A striking guitar-like form in luminous cream dominates the horizontal composition, its curved organic shape contrasting beautifully with angular geometric planes in deep forest green, charcoal, and warm brown. Delicate white lines cascade like strings across the instrument's body, punctuated by pearl-like dots that suggest both musical notes and celestial bodies. Rich layers of acrylic and gesso create subtle texture and depth across the sophisticated, muted palette.

About This Geometric Abstract Artwork

"The Cosmos Within (1)" explores the profound connection between music, space, and inner consciousness. Inspired by collage assemblages, space, dreams, music, time, and city landscapes, the composition transforms a musical instrument into a vessel for cosmic contemplation. The vertical strings with their floating white dots create visual rhythm while evoking both sound waves and star fields. A singular blue circle—like a distant planet or a moment of clarity—punctuates the cream form, drawing the eye into meditation. This piece captures the universal truth that music, like the cosmos, contains infinite worlds within finite forms, and that both speak to something timeless within us.
